Corgi 261 James Bond Aston Martin DB5 (1960’s)
This model is an original Corgi 261 James Bond Aston Martin DB5. This model was released in the 1960’s, around the same time as the James Bond ‘Goldfinger’ film. It was one of the best-selling toys of the 1960’s and at times the factory struggled to keep up with demand.
The model we currently have for sale (pictured on this page) also comes with a high-quality, reproduction box, display plinth and a ‘Secret Instructions’ envelope, lapel badge and leaflet.
The model is completely original and is in excellent condition. It only has minor wear (minor loss of paint in places, small mark on roof etc.). All of the ‘special features’ (ejector seat etc.) are still working. The bullet-proof shield and machine guns can sometimes be reluctant to stay pushed in, but will do so with a bit of care.
The box is a very high quality reproduction and both box and display plinth are in ‘near mint’ condition. The Secret instructions leaflet and envelope are also very good. The lapel badge (sticker) is not as good quality, but is adequate.
