'Wizard's Quest' Board Game
by Avalon Hill - 1979
![]() |
‘Wizard' Quest’ is a classic fantasy conquest board game published by Avalon Hill in 1979.
The game board portrays the island of Marnon which is divided into 36 territories. Orcs are placed in one third of the territories and the players then fill the nother spaces, in turn, with their armies.
What makes the game really interesting is that each player has three treasures that are colour-coded to match their playing pieces. Before the game starts, but after the players have deployed their armies, these treasures are given to an opposing player who places them around the map - in the most inaccessible, or difficult to conquer, spaces.
While the game has similarities to 'Risk', it has many innovative rules with several different paths to victory.
The winner is the first player to reclaim their three treasures.
The game we are selling is complete and in excellent condition. It appears to have had very little use.
