This vintage wooden jigsaw puzzle, entitled 'The Torbay Express' is one of the classic series of puzzles published by GWR (Great Western Railway) and made by Chad Valley.
The puzzle dates from around 1930 and is one of the larger puzzles in the series. The puzzle is a stunning depiction of the famous 'Torbay Express' steam train in GWR colours steamimg towards Dawlish in Devon. In the far distance you can see the church at Teignmouth.
The jigsaw puzzle we are selling, pictured on this page, is complete and in excellent condition. The colours are still vibrant and fresh.
The puzzle comes complete with its original 'sleeve' style box, which has some wear and tear (see below).

The puzzle pieces are all in excellent condition with virtually no wear. The box is in reasonable condition for its age. There is some wear and tear, as can be seen from the picture on the right, but it is perfectly useable.
