Table Skittles, also known as 'Bar Skittles' or 'Devil Amongst The Tailors' is a classic family and pub game, believed to have originated in the 18th Century.
This vintage Table Skittles set dates from the early 1960's. It is a high-quality, full-size 'league' table, not the smaller version that is often produced nowadays. Skittle tables of this vintage are much more substantial and durable than modern versions.
The table has a 2-piece demountable pole which screws together with a brass screw fitting. It also has built in storage for the wooden skittles. The hinged lid also contains a scoring track.
Also known as 'Devil Amongst The Tailors', this game is a test of dexterity and skill. It can be played by any number of players.
The game is complete and in very good condition throughout.

The board has only minor wear - some rubbing to the base of the pole and a few light storage marks to the outer edges. The baize is in excellent condition and is unmarked.
The pole and ball-bearing mechanism work perfectly.
The moveable wooden platform (on which the skittles sit) is in very good condition with just one very small paint chip.
The skittles are in excellent condition, with only minor wear.
