This vintage wooden jigsaw puzzle is one of the classic series of puzzles published by GWR (Great Western Railway) and made by Chad Valley in the 1920's and 1930's. This is one of the larger puzzles, comprising around 400 pieces and looks superb when completed.
The puzzle dates from the 1930's and is a lovely painting of the High Street in Stratford-Upon-Avon. The puzzle features Harvard House, home of the Rev. John Harvard who emigrated to America in 1637 and had the the famous Harvard University named after him.
The puzzle also features some lovely details, including some of the fashions of the period.
The jigsaw puzzle we are selling, pictured on this page, is complete and in superb condition. The colours are still vibrant and the puzzle is undamaged.
The puzzle comes with its original sleeve-style box (see picture on right). The box has some light storage wear but is in very good condition.

The puzzle pieces are in excellent condition with virtually no wear. One piece is very slightly warped but not seriously so. The box is in very good condition for its age with light storage wear.
