by Avalon Hill - 1972
![]() |
‘Richthofen’s War’ is a classic Avalon Hill game recreating the daring exploits of the ‘Red Baron’ and his fellow flying aces engaged in aerial combat in the First World War.
Each player controls one plane and must attempt to outmanoeuvre his opponent and try to become a World War One flying ace. Each aircraft is unique in its own combination of: operational ceiling, rate of climb, diving speed, firepower, and armament. With over 32 different aircraft types to choose from, there are over 1200 possible combinations of opposing aircraft.
The game includes 7 different scenarios, or players can make up their own using the information contained in the ‘Briefing Manual’.
The game that we currently have for sale, pictured on this page, is complete and, apart from some wear to the box (see pictures below), in 'as new' condition. The game has never been used and the counters have not been punched out.
