Vintage Solitaire War Game by West End Games - 1986
![]() |
‘RAF - Battle of Britain’ is a card-driven, solitaire war game with cards covering Events, Attacking Forces and suspected targets.
Game mechanisms deal with Radar, weather and observer corps. The map covers southern England with graphics for airfields, industrial sites and ports.
You control British and Canadian Royal Air Force Squadrons, positioning the day's patrols where you believe the Luftwaffe will strike.
The game system controls the Luftwaffe, directing a bombing campaign against key targets vital to British survival.
The unique card system hides the strengths, compositions, and targets of the German strikes until after you've decided where your squadrons will patrol, and which raids you'll intercept.
'R.A.F. - The Battle of Britain' includes three scenarios - The Hardest Days, The Thin Blue Line, and The Battle of Britain, which cover the entire struggle from beginning to end.
Designed by John Butterfield, who created the acclaimed 'Ambush' series of solitaire games, R.A.F. is one of the best solitaire war games created.
The game we are selling, pictured on this page, is brand new. It is still sealed. There is a some indentation to the box lid but apart from that, the game is 'as new'.
