Game Description:
‘Formula D' is generally acknowledged to be the best motor racing board game currently available. The clever game mechanics, and use of specially numbered dice - a different one for each gear - mean that planning ahead, for those tricky corners and fast straights, is essential.
Just like real F1 motor racing, competitors must first decide on their car set-up. 'Wear Points' are allocated to tyres, brakes, bodywork etc. at the player's discretion.
How you allocate the points will determine your strategy for the race. Will you go for soft tyres which will give you more grip but will wear out quicker? Will you make one pit stop or two?
'Formula D' will appeal to both die-hard motor racing fans and families. The rules are simple...but the strategy isn't!
The game comes complete with miniature cars and a beautifully illustrated double-sided game board featuring the Monaco circuit on one side and an 'illegal' street racing city circuit on the other.
While the standard F1 board has all the excitement of single seater racing, the 'street race' circuit on the other board is a far more chaotic affair. Anything goes in this race - nitro fuel, dirty tricks, unexpected hazards and customised cars all come into play.
