Game Description:
'Film Fantasy' is a movie themed card game made by Pepys in the 1940's.
The cards feature some lovely period illustrations of scenes from some of the popular movies of the time. These include 'Goodbye Mr Chips', 'The Lambeth Walk', 'Idiot's Delight', 'Calling Dr. Kildare', 'Bridal Suite', 'Tarzan in Exile', 'Serenade', 'It's A Wonderful World', 'The Hardy's Ride High' and 'Lucky Night'.
The game is a set collecting game where players try to complete two sets of four different cards from one film. There is also one Joker in the pack, featuring a scene from 'Ice Follies of 1939'. If a player can complete two sets and the Joker, they score an extra 10 points.
The edition we have for sale, pictured on this page, dates from 1940. The game is complete and, apart from wear to the box, in excellent condition.
