This book is a rare First Edition of the second volume of the Dan Dare re-prints by Hawk Books, published in 1988.
This deluxe collector's edition contains a re-print of every episode from two Dan Dare comic strip stories, 'Red Moon Mystery' and 'Marooned On Mercury', which first appeared in The Eagle comic, volumes 2 and 3, from October 1951 through to February 1953.
The superb illustrations are by Frank Hampson and Harold Johns.
The book we are selling, pictured on this page, is complete and in excellent 'near mint' condition, with only the very slightest edge wear to the cover. The pages are in perfect condition.
Hawk Books released 12 volumes in this series (we have several of the others for sale), which covered Dan Dare's adventures in chronological order. These volumes are now out of print and highly sought after.
The edition we are selling is a rare hardback first edition.
