This book is a rare First Edition of the second volume of the Dan Dare re-prints by Hawk Books, published in 1989.

This deluxe collector's edition contains a re-print of every episode from one of Dan Dare's greatest adventures, 'Operation Saturn', which first appeared in The Eagle comic, volumes 3, 4 and 5, from February 1953 until May 1954.

The superb illustrations are by Frank Hampson and Desmond Walduck.

The book we are selling, pictured on this page, is complete and in excellent 'near mint' condition. The pages are in perfect condition.

Hawk Books released 12 volumes in this series (we have several of the others for sale), which covered Dan Dare's adventures in chronological order. This edition is a rare hardback first edition.
