Description:
This is an original first edition Corgi 267 Batmobile from the 1960's. The vintage diecast model we are selling (pictured on the right of this page) is completely original and comes with the original Batman and Robin figures together with the original box, display stand, plastic rockets and literature.
Apart from some wear to the box, the set is in very good condition. The car is in very good condition with no major flaws. The gloss black paintwork is still in excellent condition with only very minor wear. There are a few pinprick chips around the front grille, and one small mark on the right hand side, but all are only visible on close inspection and do not spoil the model. Apart from these minor blemishes, the paintwork is unmarked.
All of the special features (chain cutter, flame exhaust, rocket launchers etc.) are all in good working order.
The Batmobile we are selling comes with the original Batman and Robin figures, the original 'Instructions' envelope, the 'Operating Instructions' leaflet, and the 12 rockets. All but one the rockets are even still attached to the sprue! The only thing missing is the lapel sticker. (We can supply a reproduction sticker if required).
The box is in slightly better than average condition. There is some wear (rubbing and small splits) to the corners and edges of the outer box but the graphics are clean and bright. Two of the inner end flaps have been neatly reinforced with clear tape but this is on the inside of the box and cannot be seen when the box is closed.
The box inner display stand is generally in good condition. It has some wear (small splits around a couple of the wheel inserts, some creasing of the side flaps and a small surface split to one of the seams) but there is no major damage.
