'Combat' is a vintage war board game dating from the late 1960's which was designed by Lt. General Sir Brian Horrocks.
The game features a modular board with interchangeable terrain pieces, which allow players to fight a variety of battles ranging from desert tank battles to jungle warfare.
The terrain pieces are made of thick cellophane which means that they will stick to the surface of the board during the game, but are easily removed and re-used.
With simple rules and a variety of terrain pieces the game has lots of replayability.
The game we currently have for sale, similar to the game pictured on this page, is an original edition made by Merit. It dates from the late 1960's and contains most of the original playing pieces. A small number of pieces are missing but these can easily be replaced with markers or counters.
Apart from some wear to the box, the game is in good, used condition throughout.
