(Stock no. VG859)

‘Bulls & Bear’s’, published in the 1930's, was one of the first stock market board games and is now a collector’s item.

Invented by Charles Darrow, who came to prominence when brought ‘Monopoly’ to Parker Bothers in the 1930’s, ‘bulls & Bears’ is based on making a profit from the buying and selling of stocks and shares.

Players hope, as in real life, that the prices of their particular holdings of stock will rise, or that they will be able to ‘corner the market’ in a particular stock and force the other players to be penalized.

Players buy and sell stocks from and to each other and after a few games a player will learn the best way to buy and sell his stocks and to take advantage of the various opportunities which arise in the game.

The object of the game is for one player to acquire all the money and to become the owner of all the stock.

The game we are selling, pictured on this page, is an original 1930's edition.

Players:

For 2 to 5 players.

Condition:

Board: Good

Playing Pieces and Cards: Very Good

Box: Very Good

The game components (cards, money etc.) are generally in excellent condition. The game has only been played once or twice, or possibly not at all. The money is still crisp and in 'as new' condition.

A couple of the cards have slight surface tears due to perished elastic bands but they are legible and are perfectly useable.

PLEASE NOTE - One marker and chair are missing, meaning that there are only enough for 5 players, but they can easily be replaced with counters.

The board has some staining to the underside and some minor age marks to the playing surface but is in good condition with very little wear.

The box is in very good condition.

The dice are replacements and the rules are a copy.
