'Buccaneer' was one of Waddington's best and most popular board games. In production from the 1930's until the 1980's, it was a family favourite for over 50 years and is still enjoyed by many.
Players take on the role of pirate captains who sail the oceans looking for treausre and plunder.
The game is a race to collect various types of treasure and get it back to your home port before your opponents. Along the way you will have to deal with unexpected events (unfavourable winds, Yellow Fever etc.) and the risk of being attacked by your fellow pirates!
The game we currently have for sale, pictured on this page, is the 6-player edition dating from the mid-1960's. (Later editions were only for 4 players). These older editions are now becoming very hard to find in good, complete condition.
The game we are selling is complete and in good, used condition.

The game itself is complete and in very good condition. The board has very slight wear along the spine but is otherwise is in excellent condition. The treasure is complete. The 'Crew' cards and 'Chance' cards are in good, used condition. There is some creasing to some of the cards but no serious damage. The large box is perfectly useable but does have some wear. All four corners have been neatly reinforced with clear tape and there is some surface wear to the lid which has been reasonably neatly re-coloured (see pictures below), and some indentation to the underside of the box, but nothing too serious.
