This is a very rare first edition of 'Buccaneer', one of Waddington's best-loved board games. This edition dates from the late 1930's and is in exceptionally good condition.
The game we currently have for sale, pictured on this page, is complete and in superb condition.
It dates from the late 1930's and comes complete with all of the original 'treasure' and the original linen-backed roll-up map.
These original sets are now very hard to find with all of the original playing pieces.
The game is complete with all of the original treasure - rubies, diamonds, pearls, brass 'gold' bars and wooden barrels of rum.
The linen map, which is very hard to find is in excellent condition with very little wear.
The metal studs, which hold the cardboard 'Treasure Island' in place are intact and are not tarnished.
The cardboard 'Treasure Island', which is prone to damage, is in excellent condition.
The ships and hand-painted sails are in good condition with only minor wear to a couple of the sails.
The cards are in excellent condition and appear to have had little or no use.
The box containing the playing pieces is in excellent condition with very little storage wear.
The original cardboard tube, for storing the map, has the end caps are missing but the tube is perfectly useable providing it is stored on a level surface.
This is a very rare chance to acquire a first edition of a classic British board game history - and add a fantastic game, in excellent condition, to your collection.
