This vintage wooden jigsaw puzzle is one of the classic series of puzzles published by GWR (Great Western Railway) and made by Chad Valley in the 1920's and 1930's. This is one of the larger puzzles, comprising around 400 pieces.
The puzzle dates from the 1930's and is a beautiful painting of Brazenose College, Oxford University.
The puzzle also features some lovely details, including some of the fashions of the period.
The jigsaw puzzle we are selling, pictured on this page, is complete and in excellent condition.
The puzzle comes with its original 'sleeve' box, which is in good condition.

The puzzle pieces are in excellent condition with very little wear. The only defects are a small chip to one of the nibs and a couple of the pieces have a very small incision at the edge which is a manufacturing fault. The box is in good condition for its age with only minor wear.
