Description:
This vintage wooden jigsaw puzzle is one of the classic series of puzzles published by GWR (Great Western Railway) and made by Chad Valley in the 1920's and 1930's.
The puzzle dates from the early 1930's and is a watercolour painting of Anne Hathaway's cottage, near Stratford-upon-Avon, which is now part of the Shakespeare museum.
The jigsaw puzzle we are selling, pictured on this page, is generally in good condition - the colours are still bright and fresh - but it does have a couple of pieces that have broken in half (although still match up) and unfortunately there are about 6 pieces missing (see picture). However, this doesn't really spoil the enjoyment of doing this rare puzzle, and has been reflected in the price.
The puzzle comes is complete and comes with its original box, which is in excellent condition.
