'Age of Industry' Board Game
![]() |
Game Description:
'Age of Industry' is a highly-rated economic board game by Martin Wallace. Following on from the highly-accliamed 'Brass' , which is now out of print, 'Age of Industry' is an economic game set in the midst of the 19th Century 'industrial revolution'.
Players must invest in various industries (iron, coal, cotton etc.) and must judge the market conditions to determine which industries will give the best return.
Cotton mills and industrial factories will certainly make money, but can you afford to ignore coal mining and iron production? Ports can be built to increase sales and profits, but can you afford to invests in ships to open up new markets?
'Age of Induxtry' requires strategic planning, the ability to adjust to ever-changing market conditions, and nerves of steel. Becoming a wealthy 19th Century industrialist is not as easy as you might think!
'Age of Industry' includes a double-sided map board - Germany and New England - which both provide a different challenge. Future expansion sets are planned for this game, which will include new game board featuring other areas and countries.
'Age of Industry' shares many of the same game mechanics as 'Brass' and will be enjoyed by fans of that game. However, the game play is more streamlined and the playing is shorter, ensuring that 'Age of Industry' will appeal to a much wider audience.
